Short Eared Seer explores curiosity as another way of seeing beyond what is immediately apparent.
I was drawn to this short-eared owl’s enormous eyes and wonderfully unusual expression, and exaggerated some of that character as I painted. At its heart, the piece is about staying open to surprise, questioning what seems obvious, and leaving room for discovery.
